About Chris
Chris currently leads the Venture Fund strategy for Perceptive Advisors as Portfolio Manager and has invested in over 30 companies across two funds to date. Chris joined Perceptive in 2017 after launching Xontogeny as an early-stage biotech accelerator and seed investment vehicle. The Perceptive Venture strategy is focused on leading and co-leading Series A and Series B financings across the life sciences sector including biotech, medtech, healthtech, tools/services and digital/consumer health. Prior to moving to the investing side of the industry, Chris had a decades-long career as a biopharma executive serving in a number of leadership positions, including as CEO of Sarepta and in senior management roles at Celgene and Gilead. Chris currently serves on the Boards of several life sciences companies and is a frequent speaker at industry events on a wide range of topics affecting the life sciences sector.
